O sol e o céu ao longe
você bem perto
A vida longe de você
deserto
(....)
O passo que passa
não volta
a vida anda
depressa
e nessa volta
me leva
e eu vou
bem perto
pra perto
de você

QUE COISA LINDA
A MINOR BIRD
I have wished a bird would fly away
And not sing by my house all day
Have clapped my hands at him from the door
When it seems I could bear no more
The fault must partly be in me
The bird was not to blame for his key
And of course there must be something wrong
In wanting to silence any song
(From Robert Frost's Poems - Anthology. 1971./ - saudade das aulas na UFRN em 2000)

SOBRE POETAS
'For poets the world is apprehended as language'.
(By Ann Lauterbach – critic)
(By Ann Lauterbach – critic)
É isso. Para os poetas o mundo é entendido como linguagem. É o seu meio. O poeta transforma tudo em linguagem. Para ele tudo está sendo dito - e ele decodifica - em palavras.
Simon Lesser (20th century writer)
'We read because we are beset by anxieties, guilt feeling and ungratified needs. The reading of fiction permits us in an indirect fashion to satisfy those needs, relieve our anxieties, and assuage our guilt.
(....)
It transports us to a realm of more comprehensible and coherent, more passionate and more plastic, and at the same time more compatible with our ideals that the world of our daily routine, thus providing a kind of experience which is qualitatively superior to that which we ordinarily obtain from life.'
Fiction and Unconscious (1960)
Eis a razão da leitura. Alívio, compensaçao, 'desestress'. Triste de quem vive neste mundo, cheio de caminhos tortos e turbulentos e ainda não descobriu esse remédio.
Viva a leitura!
